10 days itinerary Croatia Dalmatia Split
Zagreb is the capital and the largest city of Croatia It is located in the northwest of the country, along the Sava river, at the southern slopes of the Medvednica mountain.
Now after we’ve learned something about the capital of Croatia we move over to Plitvice The National Park covers the surface of 29685 ha, where lakes take up to 200 ha, while forest covers the rest of the park.
Just a short drive from Zadar the Krka National Park Krka Waterfalls is one of the most attractive locations in Dalmatian area that is very easy to reach. It is protected since 1985, as one of eight croatian National Parks. Moving from the waterfalls we have Trogir a remarkable example of urban continuity. The orthogonal street plan of this island settlement dates back to the Hellenistic period and it was embellished by successive rulers with many fine public and domestic buildings and fortifications. Its beautiful Romanesque churches are complemented by the outstanding Renaissance and Baroque buildings from the Venetian period. Croatia wouldn’t be such a great holiday trip without Split, the second-largest city of Croatia and the largest city of the region of Dalmatia. It lies on the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea and is spread over a central peninsula and its surroundings. Home to Diocletian’s Palace with it’s intricate paths that would surely confuse someone that wasn’t a local.Dubrovnik There are many beautiful places in the world, however the people of Dubrovnik claim their city to be the most beautiful. A warm southern climate, spacious blue skies, emerald green and dark blue crystal-clear sea touching the rocky shore and spilling into numerous coves and bays, onto sandy beaches and steep reefs decorated with the lushest Mediterranean and subtropical flora. Dubrovnik is also one of the locations where the famous TV show Game of Thrones was filmed.
